The Greater Honeyguide
The Story
This poster was a challenge to encapsulate the lifecycle of the obligate brood parasite Indicator indicator-otherwise known as the Greater Honeyguide. It was a personal challenge to model wings that seemed believable and to put them in an environment where all stages could be seen at once.

While the models for the poster were successful for the purposes of producing a believable render, their polycounts were much too high. For the time being, one model used in the project was reduced from 63 million polys to 16,000 polys to import into Sketchfab, which can be seen to the left.
A future goal is to remake the poster above using what I’ve continued to learn. Making realistic and posable wings has become a goal of mine that I will continue working towards.
